My Trip to Smith Mountain Lake

Over the Memorial Day holiday, I went to visit my Gramma and Grampa at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. I knew it would be an exciting visit when they gave me a new life jacket upon our arrival. I think it looks pretty cool with my hat and sunglasses.

Mommy and I went for a brief swim, it was my first time in a body of water other than a tub or a sink.

Mommy and Gramma went out for a spin in something called a SportCanoe.

With our hats (and my life jacket), we were ready to go for a sail! 

Mommy told me this is the lake where they filmed "What About Bob?", luckily they didn't have to lash me to the mast to get me through my first sailing experience.

Dad and I enjoyed playing in the lake and on the shore. 

Here's a view of Gramma and Grampa's new house from the lake. It should be finished the next time we come to visit. 

Mondo enjoyed surveying the scene from the end of the dock. 

The grownups ordered lunch from a nearby BBQ place, while I napped in the shed. 

I enjoyed my meals at Gramma and Grampa's house. Especially getting to use the same high chair as Mommy and Uncle Andy.

Looks like Gramma made my favorite breakfast... 

Pancakes! 

Sometimes, I just sat on the dock and ate my lunch al fresco! 

It was fun to show Grampa how my toys worked.

Grampa thinks I'll be walking in no time, but ...

... I enjoy flying for now.

When everyone else was busy, Mondo was in charge of watching me, but he seemed inclined to sleep on the job. 

Mommy and Gramma liked to give me a bath after an exciting day at the lake. These were my first grown-up baths without my infant tub.
